About Me

Hi, I’m Sarah! Welcome to my blog.

My fascination with genealogy began when I was just 10 years old, and I was privileged enough to discuss family history with my great-grandmother as a young teen. Since then, my research has spanned hundreds of years in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the UK and the USA. When I’m not doing genealogy (which, let’s face it, is not very often!), I’m an IT student and self-employed court transcriber.

As of 2019 I am also a student of the Certificate Course in Genealogical Research offered by the Society of Australian Genealogists . This blog is an exploration of my learnings thus far and into the future, and I hope you find a tip or two to help you in your research journey as well.

Happy reading!
